THE CARIBBEAN MILITARY MARITIME TRAINING SCHOOL (CMMTS) was officially opened on June 27, 2012 by Jamaica’s Minister of National Security, the Honourable Peter Bunting and the Canadian Defence Minister the Hon Peter McKay. Its goal is to deliver and sustain military and law enforcement maritime training and certify service personnel from local and regional security forces. CMMTS offers courses in Bridge Watch-Keeping, Naval Boarding, Seamanship, Law of the Seas, Communications and Weapons and Control Techniques all supported by a bank of excellent International Instructors and the most advanced Bridge Simulator in the region. Our Bridge Watch-Keeping course is equivalent to Canadian Navy Watch-keeping standards and our Naval Boarding Party Course is modelled off Canadian Forces and United States Coast Guard standards.
