In a dynamic global environment where challenges to national security are constantly evolving and transnational in nature, militaries are increasingly called upon to respond to these non traditional threats. As regional forces have to collaborate to mount transnational responses it has become necessary to have common training standards which adhere to international best practices.
In recognition of this reality the Jamaica Defence Force, in conjunction with Canadian and other regional and international partners has established four centres of training excellence to meet local requirements and to support the region in this endeavour.
These 4 areas are:
– Staff and Command Training
– Pilot and Technician Training
– Military Maritime Training
– Artisan Training
