"When I manage to get some time alone, I reflect on how my life has changed over the period that I have been in training." “Jump up! Wake up! Get moving! Is the sound that I awake to each morning. I have to face the reality of not being at home and now subjected to gruesome military training. It can be very painful to get up at 0430 hours to do some form of physical activity and the Training Depot can be very cold at times. At home I would never succumb to such practices.”
“It has not been an easy transition from civilian life, I no longer make my own rules; I was used to being the one in charge. However, it is a worthwhile and overwhelming experience to be able to go through recruit training.”
“Training
can be very competitive and it was a surprise when my Squad Corporal, Corporal
Witter informed me that I was a probable candidate for the Academic Award
for this Intake.” |
