On March 27 2009, General Walt NATYNCZYK, Chief of Defense Staff, Canadian Forces visited the Jamaica Military Aviation School (JMAS) and received a ‘general’ tour of the training facility. The Canadian Forces through MTAP (Military Training Assistance Program) has been instrumental in the establishment of JMAS and as such, JMAS was honoured to host General NATYNCZYK.
 Commandant of JMAS, Major Brian CREARY was commended by General NATYNCZYK on the progress of the school and encouraged to continue to develop the program currently in place.
