Whenever you decide to leave the military, you will find that the skills you have learned are valued by many civilian employers as they recognise the high level of training, responsibility and management skills of service personnel. Many former members are currently employed in senior level positions both in the Government and the business sector.

Q. Which institutions do Potential Officers attend for basic officer Training?
A.
Successful candidates are appointed to the rank of Potential Officer and sent to the JDF Training Depot at Newcastle, St Andrew, where they are integrated into the standard recruit training programme. Based on their performance, Potential Officers are then selected for basic officer training overseas, as follows:
