MULTI-COMPLEX FACILITY FOR
THE CARIBBEAN JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE The Caribbean Junior Command and Staff Course (CJCSC) has commenced following a ribbon cutting and opening ceremony on 19 January 2009 at its new home. CJCSC is been conducted for the first time at Moneague Training Camp, St Ann, due to the assistance of the Canadian Forces which provided both financial aid and manpower to construct the facility.  Senator the Honourable Arthur Williams and Mr Denis Kingsley cutting
the ribbon to signify the opening of CJCSC facilities. The magnitude of the project makes the building principle unprecedented – erecting multi-storey structures using converted containers. The JDF benefitted from the Canadians choosing to train in Jamaica to confirm their technical engineering support readiness for deployments to the Middle East. The Staff Course had to be relocated from the JDF Training Depot, New Castle, to Moneague Training Camp due to the disruption to the course caused by hurricanes each year which normally make the road to New Castle impassable. Opening Ceremony of the recently built facilities in Moneague, St Ann to house the Caribbean Staff Course. There are 32 students on the course and include participants from Canada, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Guyana, St Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago. The course is slated to end in May 2009.
