Unit Notice Board

Annual Administrative Inspection

1 Engineer Regiment (JDF) had its Annual Administrative Inspection on Wednesday 10 Oct 2001.   The Chief of Staff and his inspecting team  inspected 2 Field Squadron, 3 Construction Squadron, 4 Support Squadron, 5 Maintenance Squadron and 6 Power Plant Troop.

Whilst proceeding through 2 Field Squadron the inspecting team was given a demonstration on the metal detectors used by the JDF.  In particular, the demonstration highlighted the performance characteristics and limitations of this piece of equipment.

A major highlight of the day occurred during the Chief of Staff’s address to the Regiment.  After commending the  Regiment for a good inspection the Chief of Staff presented the Regiment with its new Unit Flash which had recently been approved.  The Unit Flash is a badge worn on the left shoulder which enables soldiers of various units to be identified.
