Pistol and Sharpshooter Competition
Day Two saw the staging of the Pistol and Sharpshooter Competition. The Pistol Competition recognizes both a team winner and an individual winner. The Third Battalion The Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve) won the team prize and Private Oniel Bunting of the Support and Services Battalion won the individual prize.
Although it has become the norm for an infantry unit to win the Sharpshooter Competition, JDF Air Wing overcame the odds and copped the competition.
The Third Battalion The Jamaica Regiment
(National Reserve) wins the pistol team trophy
for the second consecutive year.
JDF Air Wing’s team wins the Sharp Shooter Competition.
And they’re off! One of the sharp shooter teams runs
down the range for the second leg of the competition.
Commander Kenneth Douglas, Commanding Officer
of the JDF Coast Guard, presents the medal to Private
Oniel Bunting of the Support and Services
Battalion, winner of the Pistol Shoot.
