Change of Guard Ceremony National Heroes Park

The annual Change of Guard Parade between the two regular infantry units of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) took place on Sunday 09 February 2003.   The First Battalion the Jamaica Regiment (1JR) handed over guard duties at the National Heroes Circle to the Second Battalion the Jamaica Regiment
(2JR).

The Colour Ensigns carrying the 1JR and 2JR Regimental Colours were Second Lieutenant J Richardson and Lieutenant S Ellis, respectively. The other members of the respective Colour Parties were Warrant Officer Class Two I McIndoe, Sergeant P Williams, and Sergeant V Bailey, of 1JR and Warrant Officer Class 2 N Dennis, Sergeant M Fray, and Sergeant E Christie of 2JR.

Music for the Parade was provided by the Jamaica Regiment Band directed by the Bandmaster, Warrant Officer Class One J Norman.
