Types of Dress

The combat uniform is the US pattern camouflage and it is worn by both male and female.

The 58 pattern British webbing equipment adds accessory webbing and a helmet to the ensemble. Other headdress such as jungle hats and berets may be interchanged depending on the situation. The US pattern jungle boots are worn as part of the combat uniform.

Overalls are worn by technicians, pilots and V150 armoured car crewmen. Pilots similar to soldiers of the V150 cars wear a special helmet which is equipped with microphones and earphones to allow crewmen to communicate over the roar of the engines.>

The Jamaican soldier is better equipped than ever before, with a range of well designed personal equipment designed to make him more efficient in a wide variety of conditions.
